Proven, not extracted
Every row is checked against the running balance across page breaks. Misread digits are repaired from the arithmetic and flagged, never hidden.
For accounting firms
Drop a client’s PDF bank statements in. Vouchpack proves every line, reconciles every month and hands your accountant a categorised tax pack with only the judgement calls left blank. Days of trainee time become an hour of review.

How it works
A six-year catch-up used to mean a trainee footing 1,230 pages by hand, and a quote built on those hours. With the pack done before lunch the same job is quoted at R10,000, the client says yes, and the firm earns more per hour than it did at R59,000.
Every line ticked against the running balance · repairs flagged in the margin
Capacity
The backlog grows, so you advertise the post, sit through the interviews, spend three months training someone, and they still cannot foot a statement. Vouchpack turns that backlog into review work your current staff clear between meetings. No new desks, no new salaries.

Tax pack summary · categories by tax year · tie-back row
What you get
Every row is checked against the running balance across page breaks. Misread digits are repaired from the arithmetic and flagged, never hidden.
Each month’s opening, credits, debits, fees and closing are tied to the bank’s own printed summary. Gaps and duplicate pages are listed, not guessed.
Lines land in your practitioner categories per tax year, with own-account transfers, loans and family money excluded, and a confirm-with-client sheet with the answers left blank for the client or the accountant.
Advisor
Ask what to classify a line as, how a Voluntary Disclosure works, what a deferred payment arrangement needs, which medical costs qualify. The Advisor is trained only on South African tax law, SARS processes and accounting classification, cites the section or SARS guide it relies on, states the tax year for every figure, and tells you when a registered practitioner must sign.
Client paid R150,000 to a rehabilitation facility. Where does it go?
Out-of-pocket medical (s6B additional medical expenses tax credit). If the client has an ITR-DD-confirmed disability, 33.3% of the qualifying amount is a credit with no 7.5% threshold; otherwise the 25%-over-7.5%-of-taxable-income rule applies (tax year 2025). Keep the facility’s invoice and the practitioner’s letter. A registered practitioner signs the claim.
Cites the section · states the tax year · says who signs
ABSA and Capitec proven line by line. Every other bank runs through the generic reader: the same balance check on every line, with anything the balance cannot explain flagged for review.

Confidentiality
Statements are personal and business financial information. They are treated that way from the moment they leave your browser.
Every upload, the OCR text and both workbooks are encrypted at rest on our server. Plaintext exists only while the pack is being built.
You sign in by an emailed one-time link, the way your bank portal does. A pack opens only for the firm that built it. No passwords to leak.
Delete the uploads and the pack from the server the moment you have downloaded it, or let the 30-day sweep do it.
Processed and stored on our own server in South Africa. No external AI, no trackers, no analytics scripts, fonts served from our domain.
The grunt work is done by the machine. The judgement, the review and the sign-off stay with your people.
